Pine Honey
Pine honey comes from the pine forest of Central Evia, collected with great care and respect for the art of beekeeping. Bees create this unique honey from a sweet substance called honeydew, which is produced by honey-producing insects, instead of the sweet nectar collected from flower blossoms. Color: Dark amber, lighter in spring.
Taste: Mild and slightly woody, with hints of forest.
Crystallization: Very slow (1-2 years).
Properties: Rich in minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus and iron. It helps soothe the respiratory system and is popular for combating coughs and sore throats.
Ideal for: Ideal for breakfast, with cereal or bread. It also goes well with tea or as an ingredient in sauces.
